Carbon Upcycling, in partnership with ArcelorMittal, a leading global steel producer and mining company, will deploy CUT technology at their steel plant in Berlin.

Our innovative technology will produce a high-performance cementitious material from low-reactivity steel slags and permanently sequester CO2 emissions from the steel plant’s flue gas. The resulting low-carbon material will be used by Heidelberg Materials to significantly reduce the embodied carbon of their cement and concrete, contributing to a more sustainable future.

The deployment is part of the Carbon4Minerals research project funded by the European Union.
