Since 2021, we have operated our commercial demonstration facility at the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre. The site, attached to a natural gas plant, captures CO2 directly from the flue stack to enhance ash we reclaim from a retired coal plant. Our facility has produced more than 3,000 tonnes of low-carbon cementitious material for homes, paths, and roads across Alberta’s built environment.

This facility represents a milestone in Carbon Upcycling’s history. The more than 10 million time scale-up marked the next stage of our road to de-risking and commercializing our technology to enable low-carbon cement globally.
